Protect Your Gadget and Your Wallet With Insurance

The advancements in technology within the last decade has been great, no doubt about it. With new recent breakthroughs in the form of the new iPhone being able to recognise voice recognition to the new announcement that Microsofts Project Natal for the Xbox 360 is set to have full body motion sensing capabilities with no wires and nothing plugged into you in any way at all.

However what happens when something goes wrong with it? Sometimes when you have to send your gadgets off for repair, it can cost more to repair it than it did to buy it initially. A lot of the time it is their fault for not making the product as good as it should have been to begin with. Even though the Xbox 360 is clearly the more superior console in this current generation of console, it's still hosting some flaws. The three red rings. Now to any Xbox 360 owner, when they see the three red rings, it's just the same as handing your wallet over to a thief. If your Xbox warranty is still in place, you won't have to pay for the repair, however, if it is, you generally have to pay around 50 to repair a problem that should never have been there.

It always used to be a rare occurence if your N64 or Playstation 1 broke, however, we are still seeing the flow of broken Xbox's, but we are also seeing Playstation 3's and Nitendo Wii's being sent away to be fixed. This rise could be put down to more people playing their consoles due to the massive amount of game releases, however, it could just be that manufacturers are more interested in making sales, rather than making healthy consoles.

There are solutions now to avoid you having to fork out the cash and it comes from gadget insurance. This can be bought for up to 5 of any gadgets and it will set you back only 20 pound a month. The price may seem slightly high, but if you consider having to pay for just one gadget to be repaired each month, you would end up paying more. The primary reason is because the cost to repair gadgets, if you dropped your iPhone, you would get given a 100 pound repair bill. So if you think about it, having to 20 pound each month to protect your 5 gadgets is not as pad as having to pay 100 pound to repair something that you can break over and over again. As well as this when it comes to fixing consoles such as the Nintendo Wii it is actually cheaper to buy a new console than top fix it which again is going to cost you a whopping 180.

Also, if you are only looking to insure one item and not 5, no matter what type of gadget it is, you can simply pay for iPod insurance on its own. Unfortunately, many companies that offer home emergency insurance policies don't cover any damage or theft to your gadgets.
